Birth
of Sanjay Trade Corporation :
In
the year 1983, Mr. Prataprai Mehta set up a
partnership firm called “Sanjay Trade
Corporation” with his son Mr. Umesh Prataprai
Mehta. The firm was set up with the object of
Importing and Exporting various commodities,
chemicals, oils, bullion, etc. In the year 1985
Mr.Prataprai Mehta retired and Mr. Umesh P.
Mehta took over the running of the firm in his
own hands.
We
have imported various products and commodities
in the past like Edible and Non Edible Oils,
Refined Sugar, Wheat, Inshell Almonds, Chemicals
such as Phenol, Mixed Xylene, Sodium Sacchrine
and Tartaric Acid and Gold and Silver bullion.
After a 12 year run of importing and trading
of the above products we entered the steel scrap
market in the year 1994-95 and are presently
active in the market till date.

Sanjay Trade is one of the most reputed traders
and suppliers of scrap for a number of companies
in the steel industry in India. It is by far
the largest trader of metal scrap brought into
the country, having processed approximately
600,000 metric tonnes of scrap this year alone.
Being reputation conscious, we trade with the
most reputed suppliers, offering only superior
quality scrap. Our company is located in Mumbai,
with a branch office in Gujarat (Kandla), as
well as representative support in Mumbai (Nhavasheva
port), Vizag (Gangavaram and Paradeep ports),
Chennai (Chennai port) and Kolkata (Haldia port).
What
we do :
We are involved in bulk and container trade
of ferrous and non-ferrous metal, local as well
as international since 1995. We have enduring
trade ties with reputed suppliers across UK,
USA, Canada, Denmark, Russia, Dubai and several
African countries. We can also boast of an enviable
list of more than 50 steel producing companies.
We are currently also active in dismantling
and scrapping of non-functional plants.
